“Rules For Dealing With An Armed Robbery”

Part of the REACT Personal Safety & Security Library

Armed robbery is the crime of seizing money, property and/or goods by threats of extreme physical violence. Weapons will always be present and utilised to intimidate and terrorise, thus instilling sufficient fear into the victims to conquer any resistance.
Police statistics show that the number of reported incidents of street violence, weapon related crime and armed robbery have decreased slightly over the last few years. However, there is still an average of almost 70,000 incidents of armed robbery per annum in the UK with more than 6,000 of those against businesses.  The risks may have reduced but the fact is that businesses and in particular small and medium sized businesses need to accept that there is still a threat, and do all they can to deal with it and survive it.
Whilst all practical and physical security precautions should be taken to reduce the risk of a robbery, there is no substitute for educating people to deal with the situation in a manner that ensures the best possible outcome in worst-case scenarios. The preservation of life is paramount and we all have a duty of care to implement armed robbery counter measures.

This book explains the 10 RULES for dealing with an armed robbery and is part of the R.E.A.C.T Survival Files created by Steve Collins and PS5 Limited.

Learning the 10 RULES for dealing with an armed robbery is essential to the enhancement of your own and your staff’s safety when faced with this type of life-endangering crime.
